Landscape Feng Shui Services
Feng Shui Principles can be applied to enhance the landscape surrounding our buildings.
In any analysis, we always start with the exterior environment, which has a major influence on the energy flow around and into the home. Feng Shui is an art that has been derived from observing the flow of Qi in the landscape.
In a traditional Feng Shui analysis, there is an idealized landform configuration. In Feng Shui philosophy, “Celestial Animals“ are assigned to the four main compass directions (south, north, west, and east).
Each animal represents a landform that in an ideal location provides a protective barrier around a building, town, or city.
- The Black Turtle: Large hill behind, quiet Yin energy - North
- The Green Dragon: Hill on the left side if you are standing in the doorway out, strong Yang or masculine energy) - East
- The White Tiger: The smaller hill on the right side if you are standing in the doorway and looking out, Yin or feminine energy - West
- The Red Phoenix: Flat land in front of the building, positive Yang energy - South
A building surrounded by this ideal configuration would be considered auspicious.
In modern times, very few places will be surrounded by this favorable configuration. There are solutions available to improve the flow of Qi outside our buildings and this can be done by adding fences, large trees and applying Feng Shui principles to our landscaping, outdoor areas, and gardens.
A site map can be used to draw a landscape plan based on the compass reading of the property and existing landforms. I can work with landscapers or landscape architects to create the perfect plan for you.
